    Description

Starting with Ulduar I decided to switch my main over to my Resto Druid. I originally just adjusted my old UI slightly to be more tree friendly. After a while of using that however I realized I needed something redone from the ground up as a healer's UI.

As you would expect for a healer the Grid frame is front and center. I was originally concerned that it went up too high into the middle of the screen but after I played with it I found it didn't bother me at all. After all raiding for a healer is just an elaborate game of whack a mole while staring at Grid isn't it?

You'll notice some slight differences between some of the shots - they were taken over the course of several months during which I went from a 37" HDTV to a more sane 24" LCD for a monitor. Some adjustments were necessary!

Taeo this UI is just perfect! You have to put a downloadable version of it somewhere.

    This is delicious.

    Thanks :-)

I'm not sure if I want to put up a download Mr. Beluna. I've been through the hoops of helping people install/keep it up to date enough times, heh.

Sorry to hear that mate. I've been using your previous UI since version 2.0 came out. I've been keeping it updated (specially now that it's been discontinued) and it works fine but I just changed my spec to resto and it seems inefficient. Guess I'll just have to get inspired and try to change myself.

Tasty! I would definitely use something like this on my army of healers--it looks very similar to what I've got cobbled together, but with much better polish. :)

I can't figure out what addon you're using to show your fps/latency etc at the bottom of the screen.

That is Super Light Data Text (SLDT). Looks like I forgot to include it in the addons list. Sorry! I believe the addon is now discontinued but it still works for the most part. You could get the same effect with a variety of Data Broker addons.

Hey. I just want to ask, what kind of computer do you have and is it good or not, since you have 9 FPS at the screenshot and is this UI style heavy ?

  13. Taeo ( Admin ) - Posted 2 years ago #

My computer is custom built. The graphics card is pretty good ( GeForce 280GTX ) and I've got 4 gigs of memory but the processor is a bottle neck ( Athlon 6000 ). So I run at like 60-120 fps while questing or running 5 mans but when I get into a 25m raid where spell effects are flying everywhere I drop to 10-15 FPS :-(

The UI itself isn't particularly heavy. I don't recall the memory usage offhand but Grid and Recount are probably the biggest CPU/Memory hogs. During raiding the memory usage easily quadruples due to those two.
