If you click on the large image it will open a full sized version of the image in a lightbox.
As for allowing comments on individual images that probably isn't in the works - it would require redoing quite a lot of the structure of the site.
Just recently rediscovered this site and registered mainly to reply to this post.
I like the site and love the ideal behind it cause I have always been a major troll of "Show us your UI" posts.
My main complaint about this site is that it seems to be overrun by the minimalist crowd. Seems like every top rated and popular UI is very minimalist.
Now I usually dont give negetive feedback without suggestions but in this case I dont really know what could be done to change the fact.
Maybe as the sites membership grew this would change. But as someone that likes more informative UI's first time I saw this site I dismissed it because of the minimalist bend, so it might be hard to draw in those with differing views.
Perhaps adding in catagories for design style to allow people to list and search for certain design philosophies.
Also a more comprehensive rating system allowing people to rank UIs by different aspects of the UI. I.E. Minimalism, Use of Space, Fun, Readability. Could even include rating for the diffrent roles.
Well thats my 2c, look forward to seeing the site grow. Keep up the good work.

Normally its possible to right click a image on the lightbox2 (http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/) to choose "show original image" but you locked it somehow. Have you ever seen a 1920x1080 lightbox on a 1280x1024 screen? it's a pain in the ass to scroll round the screenshots also if you have a 1920x1080 resolution and the screen is 1920x1080 you'll never see the whole screenshot in 1:1....
