Update, Oct 12 2010, t12 is already available to use for 4.0.1+ patch. Grab it before servers goes live! Screnshots are not up to date, but i'll probably speak with Taeo soon for we can update it.

Update, August 2010, a new version (t11) is out and these screenshots are not up to date. Cannot update screenshots on WoW UI Gallery at the moment. (Taeo give us this option! :P) Visit http://www.tukui.org for more up to date screenshots or new versions to download. All infos beginning at the second paragraph was for an older version (t10) posted last winter.

Tukui is actually an addon that replace the default Blizzard UI. A simple UI self-coded (except of third-party mods, example : oUF) build around efficiency and minimalism. Tukui exist since 3 or 4 years but was mainly aimed for private use. I began to share my work only at summer 2009 to public and became quickly one of the most downloaded ui in the world. All the information are presented in a simple and efficient way, keeping the UI very clean. The UI is extreme light-weight using approx only 700kb total memory usage and is almost complete for every gameplay style, (pve, pvp, solo, questing, etc) every role and almost complete to any class.

Default Layout still remain the same as v9 but for v10 it's have been recoded from the start with a new core and got a ton of new options easily configurable. As you can see, it's now 100% pixel perfect everywhere on every uiscale size. No blurry border, no bad textures, no ugly Blizzard texture, perfect buttons, and more! Another feature is that Tukui fit automatically to your resolution, zero configuration setup. You don't need to load any profile or type anything on install, everything is done automatically on first login and is adjusted automatically according on your current resolution.

Tukui project is a lot inspired by a tons of great authors (Caellian, Ishtara, Caith, etc...*i'm bad at listing credits*) and all codes i didn't make or edited are clearly credited to respective original author in the .Lua files.

V10 will be officially available when 3.3.3 WoW patch hit live servers. For more informations, you can go to http://www.tukui.org. The Tukui community is big, don't hesitate to ask something into our forums if you are planning to try it or if you use it already.

That's it... for my UI... ;)

...and don't forget to rate. ;)

Yes it may be easy to modify, but we are rating interfaces here not only on a scale based on uniqueness and looks but also on functionality. In my opinion the way the focus and pet frames are implemented seems not thought out and not very functional.

That's not the point of this site, though. If you like the general looks of a UI, you can always download it and modify it to suit your needs. But that defeats the point of a "Rate _my_ UI" topic.

Ah TukUI. The UI that started it all. This thing is so close to great with it's incredible low memory footprint. Unfortunately it has only a couple major downfalls that prevents me from rating it higher than three stars. I have really wanted to use this UI in the past, but the placement of the pet and focus unitframes are absolutely horrid and forced me to seek another UI when I first noticed them. If only the focus unitframe could be the size of the target's target or pet unitframe or smaller and placed somewhere more obvious. Caith's UI is an excellent example to follow for unitframe placement.

Even at a resolution as large as yours, the text on the unit frames seems hard to read. Great UI otherwise, though. I'd be interested in seeing what it looks like for a more PVE style of play - recount, raid frames, cast and cooldown bars, etc.

V10 -
Fonts are way too small and not readable.
Chat box is much too small to read
at 1900x1200 on 24in LCD

AND, when I uninstalled it - removed Interface and WTF folders, then restored the ones I had backed up before installing:
-The font face stayed the same
- The chat box is too low and half off the screen
- The 'loot' box still shows and is also half off the screen

The changes are NOT limited to just the files in the WTF and Interface folders as you are lead to believe. Now I'll have to reinstall everything so WoW is even usable.

Why are you hiding changed files? It is NOT just the WTF and Interface folders. BEWARE, If it doesn't work, you'll have to go through hell to restore your UI.

You incredible tool... TUKUI also changes fonts in the FONT folder in your WOW directory. This is clear as day in the readme and on the TUKUI site.

Also, you can easely CHANGE the font size to make it more easely readable on your 24" 1900x1200.

You can also MOVE your chatframe by unlocking it in the standard blizzard options. The loot window is probably a silly thing aswell, since you are already made so much little mistakes it's almost hillarious.

You won't have to go through hell, you just didn't think this through.

Bhalial
Recent TukUI user.
